The Versatile Array of Neutron Detectors at Low Energy
The VANDLE detector will consist of a modular array of plastic scintillator bars to detect neutrons using the time of flight technique. The large neutron energy dynamic range, from 100 keV to 20 MeV, and its modular design will give the flexibility necessary to use the detector in experiments with requirements as different as beta decay of neutron rich elements to (d,n) reaction experiments.
